IntegriTekt – Home Design

WHAT IS THE RIGHT QUESTION?

When considering the design of a home, whether a new construction or a remodel, what is most important to understand? Getting it right is tricky business.  Design is a process which seeks out that destination by asking the right questions and navigating with the answers.

Further, developing projects to withstand the harshness a building endures on a barrier island brings matters to a whole other level of challenge of questions. Our homes not only express the look which is uniquely your style, equally important is being built to last without the persistent frustration upkeep and maintenance.

Nearly thirty years of experience stands behind the insight which is uniquely IntegriTekt. Our consultation process brings attention to what is important, not only in alignment with your style of preference but also understanding quality of the best methods and materials to apply.

THE ANSWER

The answer is your style. Your style is a reflection in the mirror of the mind. Perhaps this insight is best expressed by sharing an exchange which took place while attending a post-completion house warming party. The hosting client interjected, ”I can’t believe how perfect it all turned out.” The response which came to mind was spot on.  I simply added,  “Give yourself the credit- You are standing within YOUR answers to my questions.”

Arriving at the perfect solution is a process.  In time there are patterns which emerge.  Interestingly, we don’t necessarily focus only on “what it should be”, rather much insight is gained when you observe those things which you decided not to do.  The process of working through both “what it is” and “what it is not” establishes a common trajectory moving both towards what is desired and away from what isn’t. Impossible perhaps to recognize with a single decision or consideration, A Special Place begins to take form as more and more information is considered and we pay attention to the things that hang around. That is your style. It emerges on its own.
