What does it mean to build architecture? To a builder it is the continuation of an idea, which is then taken up and made real. Even when in the form of blueprints, to rely solely on that limited expression of ideas often falls short. Often “figuring it out” winds up being sketched out on the drawing margins or onto a piece of scrap on site. This is the key role of the builder in relationship to the idea.
The IntergriTekt approach is the careful attention which is placed on this relationship. From structure and durability to texture and finishes, “building architecture” is the classical sense of architecture; a marriage between the building construction and how it is developed, works, looks, feels and lives with its occupants. The IntegriTekt approach recognizes the singular nature of the broader task with the insight of the builder as the chief design influence and client liaison; the same source to both create the potential and then carry it out.
